The Warrior Group Introduced
Episode 3 ended with a huge suspense moment and introduced the first table of heroes who will branch out from the central cast to embark on their own adventure, separate from the remaining groups.
This warrior group includes Teor Pridesire (portrayed by Travis), Thimble (Laura Bailey), Tyranny (the cast member), Wicander (Sam Riegel), and Kattigan (Robbie Daymond).
Dividing the Cast
Given a large ensemble, it was obvious from the outset that having everyone at a single group would be unfeasible.
Hence, the first four episodes of the new season serve as an Prelude, connecting the characters’ stories before dividing into three smaller tables: Fighters, Planners, and Questers.
The Nature of the Combat Party
According to the Dungeon Master, the combat-focused party is for adventurers who enjoy a typically action-packed combat and conflict-driven story mode where diplomatic options are rare.
At first glance, characters like the squeamish cleric the cleric might appear out of place, but the actions of episode 3 make it clear why these five characters are best suited for the combat party.
Motivations for Departure
To begin with, the team knows exactly where to proceed after a brutal opening clash with The Crow Keepers.
An old friend of the deceased character—whose passing started the narrative’s action—used The Crow Keepers for his own means, invading the secret base, assaulting Thimble, and taking all the powerful objects to sell off.
Casimir then paid off his debts and fled to a secure base in Gormalay, Timmony, above the urban center, with Cyd Pridesire hot on his heels.
Character Drivers
Secondly, each member has a specific drive to depart the urban setting:
- Thimble, as Thjazi’s partner and best friend, wants revenge.
- The knowledgeable figure knows Timmony and warns that it is a hostile environment.
- The strong character and The healer, having defied his family’s wishes to kill the fighter and instead freed him, have no other options.
- But, their status as key figures in the influential clan could assist the party reach areas they usually can’t.
- Moreover, The grateful character swore a unbreakable promise to The savior for his rescue and will now follow him wherever.
Pursued by Authorities
In addition, all of them are sought by the rulers that rule Dol-Makjar for a multiple motives, making staying in the city too risky:
- Thimble and The hero are notorious outlaws.
- Tyranny and The cleric turned against the influential house and the army of fiends they are aligned with.
- The target is targeted for elimination by the clan.
This results in them no alternative but to journey toward the northern region in pursuit of the traitor.
